Hi friends,

It’s nearly the end of summer and time for kids to go back to school and for those with summer cottages, to close them down and lock them up. A little sad for me, but a nice change of pace.

We are empty nesters for the second time, but the first time was pretty short. Our youngest son and daughter are back to college and our other 4 kids are married and living AWAY from home. Although, most are not too far away. This reminds me of how old our kids are getting. I have done the mortgages for 3 of the 4 married kids’ homes and the 4th is renting (but not paying any rent, since it's a parsonage).

I guess it's not a surprise that a large percentage of my customers this year have been children of past customers. I am honored to have these type of referrals, as I interpret that as meaning the customers trusted me and liked my service to such a degree that they told their own flesh and blood to work with me on their financing.

Almost all of my business over the past 17 years has come from people telling other people (or just plain repeat business). My hope and goal is that I have served you well and to your utmost satisfaction.
